About the Company:

The company provides a range of services across maritime, industrial, and transport sectors, ensuring reliable and compliant operations. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Engineer (Marine) to lead and oversee all engineering operations on board, ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant functioning of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems while upholding strict maritime and safety regulations.
1. Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and execute all activities related to preventive, corrective, and other maintenance tasks within the area;
- Coordinate, execute, and control all operations related to the functioning, maintenance, conservation, and repair of all mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems, machinery, and installations on the vessel, in accordance with safety standards and the rules of authorities and classification societies;
- Plan, schedule, and supervise all operations to be carried out in dry dock, concerning upgrades, repairs, maintenance, or replacement of hull plating, valves, sea chests, rudders, propeller shafts, stern tubes, anchors, chains, etc.;
- Prepare kinematic diagrams of machinery, equipment, components, and their operation and functionality;
- Develop, implement, and execute continuous improvement plans in line with new marine engineering technologies;
- Implement and execute technical guidelines according to maritime regulations;
- Supervise the operation of marine machinery on board;
- Plan and ensure the supply of spare parts, materials, fuel, lubricants, water, and others; and
- Perform other related tasks as required.
2. Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering or Naval Engineering;
- Valid certificate of competency for the specific role;
- Proficiency in the English language;
3. Technical Skills
- Ability to plan and manage equipment and consumables on board;
- Knowledge and ability to implement national and international maritime laws and regulations related to the engine department;
- Ability to inspect equipment and auxiliary systems on board;
- Knowledge and ability to apply fire-fighting and onboard safety techniques;
- In-depth knowledge and ability to ensure marine environmental protection in accordance with the MARPOL Convention;
- Knowledge of HSE rules;
- Planning skills; and
- Ability to work in a team.
